An eight-year-old boy has died after being hit by a lorry in West London.
The boy was hit by the car in Southall, Ealing on Friday night.
Police have been referred to as to the scene as well as London Ambulance Service.
London Air Ambulance paramedics also attended and the child was rushed to hospital. Police have confirmed that he was pronounced lifeless at 9.47pm, despite the efforts of docs and nurses.
His subsequent of kin are aware. The police have now launched an investigation into the crash.
The driving force of the lorry stopped after the incident and no arrests have been made at this point.
A spokesperson for the Met stated: 'An investigation has been launched after an eight-year-old boy was killed in a collision in Ealing.
'Police have been referred to as to King Road, Southall, after calls at 18:20 on Friday, February 23 to a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian.
'The boy was handled at the scene by London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance paramedics before being rushed to hospital. Tragically, despite the efforts of docs and nurses, he was pronounced lifeless at 21:47.
'His subsequent of kin are aware. The driving force of the lorry stopped at the scene; there have been no arrests.'
