Divers have stopped searching for a missing woman who disappeared down a 26ft sinkhole more than a week ago after deeming it 'too risky' to keep sending help. The tragedy has shaken Malaysia, with more than 100 rescuers called in to save the 48-year-old who vanished, leaving only her slippers, when a pavement collapsed. Vijaya Lakshmi Gali fell into the hole in Kuala Lumpur on August 23 and is believed to have been swept away by a violent underground current of water, through sewage.

Kentucky officials are on the lookout for a man who has allegedly defecated on his neighbor's porch multiple times over the past week. The homeowner has reportedly lodged multiple complaints about the alleged 'porch pooper' with the Louisville Metro Police after catching him committing the heinous act on his doorbell video. The victim, who did not want to be identified, being targeted by the so-called porch pooper said he first noticed something was up on August 27.

A Maine woman decided to take one last shot at her allegedly abusive mother after her death by writing a brutally candid obituary. Following the passing of Florence 'Flo' Harrelson, 65, in February, her estranged daughter Christina Novak said she wrote the obituary after only finding out this month that her mother had passed. '(Harrelson) died without family by her side due to burnt bridges and a wake of destruction left in her path,' Novak wrote on the obituary, published in the Kennebec Journal and Morning Sentinel.
