Google has scrapped diversity, equality and inclusion hiring targets as big tech bends to the new era of Donald Trump's anti-woke agenda. In an email circulated to employees seen by the Wall Street Journal, Google bosses said they would no longer be striving to improve DEI representation in the workforce. Meanwhile, Google's parent company, Alphabet, removed a sentence stating the company was 'committed to making diversity, equity, and inclusion part of everything we do and to growing a workforce that is representative of the users we serve.
