Jimmy Carter shocked those who largely knew him as a devoted husband and Christian when he admitted to feelings of 'lust' and committing 'adultery many times in my heart' during an interview with Playboy magazine in 1976. Carter has died at the age of 100, almost two years after announcing he would spend his final days in hospice care. The Democrat and former peanut farmer served one term in the White House from 1977 to 1981 and dedicated the rest of his life to charity.
