New Yorkers are braving lightning, thunder and torrential rain alongside one million people packed into Times Square to watch the iconic ball drop. While CNN's Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper were forced to duck for cover from the downpour, spirits remain high in the crowd ahead of the midnight fireworks extravaganza. Meteorologist Chris Vagasky revealed on Tuesday night that there had been '134 lightning events detected within 50 miles of Times Square in the last 35 minutes.
