T-Mobile suffers nationwide outage as thousands report they have no signal

Thousands of Americans across the US reported drops in their T-Mobile cell phone service Wednesday, with as many as 3,767 complaints coming in at 3:30pm Eastern. Major US metropolitan areas including Washington DC, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Boston and Minneapolis appear to have been the worst hit by the outage. Thousands began reporting complaints from 2:30pm Eastern on into the early evening, according to the site Down Detector, with signal strength appearing to return in some areas by 5:30pm Eastern time.
