Team Gb added to their glut of gold medals on Wednesday as triathlete Alex Yee and the women's quadruple sculls both ascended to the top step of the podium. Rower Lola Anderson held back the tears, revealing that her late father, on his deathbed, presented her with the teenage diary in which she vowed to become an Olympic champion. Britain are now fifth in the medal table having also picked up a silver in the men's BMX freestyle and bronzes in the women's synchronised diving and triathlon.
