Bob Odenkirk has declared he isn't a monarchist before discovering he's associated to King Charles.

The Better Call Saul actor, 61, was raised in an space of Chicago, the second oldest of seven siblings born to Walter Odenkirk and Barbara Mary, Catholics of German and Irish descent.

Nevertheless, he's now discovered more about his ancestry, however isn't quite as enamoured with what was uncovered.

Bob, who performed Saul Goodman on Breaking Dangerous from 2008 till 2013 and its spin-off Higher Call Saul (2015–2022), seems on the upcoming episode of the genealogy series Finding Your Roots.

In it, he's stunned to study that he and King Charles are eleventh cousins.

Host Henry Louis Gates Jr. traces Bob's roots again five generations to Friedrich Carl Steinholz, the actor's fifth great grandfather born in Plön, Germany in 1755.

Steinholz's mom conceived him out of wedlock with the Duke of Plön, who was associated to the royal families of Europe resulting from intermarriage.

Before the revelation, Bob declares: 'I'm an American. I'm not a monarchist. I don't consider in that.

'You understand, I feel like it's slightly twisted. I understand why society constructed itself round monarchs and leaders, they usually passed them down by way of generations. I understand that goes by way of each society, each civilisation.

'However I feel that we've gotten to a greater place with democracy and we should always hold taking place that street,' he added.

When he is informed of his hyperlinks to the current king of the UK, he laughs and says: 'Nicely perhaps I'll change my thoughts on that.'

The host then jokes Bob is 'trashing' his family.

'How they make a dwelling. You should be ashamed of yourself. You ain't been royal for more than five minutes!' he adds.

Last yr Bob shared the aftermath of his 'small heart attack' that occurred on the set of Higher Name Saul in 2021.

He took day without work to recuperate before returning to the Breaking Dangerous spin-off off two months later, to finish production on the final collection.

Discussing his health, the actor stated he considered what unfolded 'each day' however managed to retain his constructive power.

'Weirdly, it didn't affect me much for a long time. I had a wierd sort of upbeat power literally the subsequent day, and daily. It was because I had a mind wipe each night time,' he advised Yahoo Life.

'So, my capability to even think about what had happened to me [was compromised] – I needed to hear about it from people who'd been there, and I wanted my brain to get back on a traditional state.'
