NBA power rankings: Luka Doncic, Lakers fall out of top 5

TheLos Angeles Lakershave managed to hold on to the lead in the Pacific Division, but have gone 1-2 in their last three games to start a five-game road trip this week.

Coach JJ Redick has shown frustration during the postgame press conference about his team's play during the stretch.

The Lakers also haven't been able to play at full strength this season, with Austin Reaves or Luka Doncic missing multiple games due to various injuries.

The team is also awaiting the return of LeBron James, who has yet to make his season debut.

James practiced with the South Bay Lakers, the NBA team's G-League affiliate, for a second time on Thursday. The four-time NBA champion could be inching closer to a return for the Lakers as long as he doesn't experience any setbacks in the coming days.
