This professional boxing match is officially sanctioned, with Joshua typically competing in the heavyweight division at a weight of 245 pounds. There is no limit to his weight while in the ring, as the contract does not include a rehydration clause. In contrast, Paul usually fights at cruiserweight, with his weight ranging from 183 to 227 pounds in his previous bouts.
Paul enters the ring with 12 wins, including seven knockouts, and one loss since turning professional in 2020 but is still considered a novice. Joshua has 28 wins, including 25 knockouts, and four losses, making him Paul's biggest competition to date.
