Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy dismissed President-elect Trump's decision to nominate his political nemesis and MAGA firebrand Matt Gaetz as Attorney General, arguing his confirmation is not going to happen. Gaetz led the charge to oust McCarthy as speaker last year, so it is no surprise McCarthy would slam the move, but the former Republican leader did not hold back. 'Gaetz won't get confirmed. Everybody knows that,' McCarthy said in an interview after the Wednesday announcement sent shockwaves through Capitol Hill.
