Reports of Team GB's rowing demise were greatly exaggerated, while there were medals aplenty for the squad across the board on day eight in Paris. After failing to win a single rowing gold medal at the Toyo Olympics, the British team emphatically bounced back and earned a record tally at an overseas Games. The men's and women's eight earned gold and bronze respectively to see Team GB finish with three rowing golds, two silvers and three bronzes.
