Adam Peaty has handed Team GB's swim team a huge boost ahead of their Olympic relay races this weekend, after being pictured back in the pool just days after a positive Covid test. Peaty tested positive for coronavirus just a day after winning Olympic silver in the men's 100m breaststroke, throwing participation in the rest of the Games in doubt. He was slated to take part in both the men's and mixed 4x100m medley relay races – the mixed being the event he won gold for Britain in, at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
