All over the place I look, the "mob spouse" aesthetic is taking off. We have seen the likes of Hailey Bieber and Dua Lipa step out in heavy faux-fur coats and TikTok has declared the "clean girl" and her slicked-back bun out, while ushering in the ultra-glam, Hollywood-imagined concept of a mob wife, full together with her leopard-print clothes, ostentatious bling and bold makeup. Recently, we're seeing a brand new "aesthetic" come up virtually each week as the cyclical nature of developments continues to accelerate, and now, the web has given its newest nod to the ladies whose bold appears (and mysterious lives) and we've seen depicted and romanticised in TV and film, from The Sopranos to Scarface and Mob Wives.

In fact, just because the web jumps on yet one other development, it doesn't suggest we're all getting concerned (personally, my black-and-beige-filled wardrobe is just not ready). But with all this speak of fabulous, fictional mob wives, I am reminded of considered one of my all-time favorite film haircuts: Michelle Pfeiffer's flicked bob as Elvira Hancock in Scarface. And it is a timeless bob haircut that I reckon we will be seeing much more of in 2024 because the obsession continues.
